I have a friend who works in Blue Reef, Straits Quay. During my last visit with HJ, she recommended us their Seafood Galore and we enjoyed it. They are famous for their fish and chips but if you are not a fan of fish, they offer other choices of main too such as calamari, prawns and sausages. For your information, they don’t take reservation on weekends. So, we went there at 6.30pm to reserve our seats. By 7.00pm onwards, the place is packed!

Starters

Main Courses

Dessert and Beverages

Smoked Salmon Linguini (RM22.00)

Seafood Galore Garoupa (RM42.00)

A combination of scallops, prawns, calamari rings,  fish fillet, salad and chips. You can select a choice of either traditional beer batter or bread crumbs.

We opt for a mixture as suggested by Aivin. This is really worth it. If you are a small eater, you can share it among 3 people.

Then we went to Fruuze for dessert. In spite of my full stomach, there’s always some space for dessert.

Thanks for coming everyone!

HJ: So, what do you want to eat?

Me: Erm… I only have one in my mind. Can’ t think of where to eat la.

HJ: Where?

Me: Kim Gary?

HJ: Don’t want la. Don’t feel like Kim Gary today.

Me: Max Gourmet?

HJ: Can consider.

Me: Hmmm… Taiwan Food? Food Court?

HJ: …..

Me: Aiyo.. you suggest la.

HJ: Manhattan Fish Market? I know you’ll say ok. Haha.

Me: …. Okay la!

Seriously, whenever it comes to deciding what to eat, our answer is always ANYTHING or I DON’T KNOW. It’s a simple answer yet a complicated one. Haha. Anyway, we didn’t go to Manhattan. We had western food at the food court instead.

Fish & Chips (RM9.50)

There are 2 choices of batter; normal or cornflakes. I opt for cornflakes. It’s crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Can’t recall the name of this dish but HJ likes it. If he likes it, it means it’s GOOD. Lol.

Next Fish Fillet (RM9.00)

Crispy Calamari Ring (RM9.00)

Besides the fish and calamari, they have Prawn Torpedo, Salt and Pepper Squid  and Crunchy Popcorn Shrimp. Each set meal comes with a drink and fries which cost RM9.00. A-la carte meal is RM6.00. Overall, there’s nothing to shout about except for their unique concept.
